Belfast Airport is the gateway to the city of Belfast, Northern Ireland. This modern airport a good number of facilities for passengers and they will be able to get information about the Belfast Airport facilities with this guide.
The Airport
Belfast Airport is approximately 21.3 kilometres away from Belfast, Northern Ireland. The Airport shares runways with the Royal Air Force Aldergrove.
There are many airline companies that have services at Belfast Airport to both domestic and international destinations. Easyjet handles the majority of the airports domestic flights and there are charter flights to European holiday destinations.
Getting there and away
There is a bus service that runs every 15 minutes from the Airport to the centre of Belfast that takes 30 minutes. There are also private hire taxis available from just outside of the airport and there are many of the well known car hire companies at the airport terminal including Hertz, Avis, Europcar and Sixt.
Belfast airport has long stay and short stay parking which can be booked online at the airports website before arriving at the airport.

There is a nice selection of Belfast Airport hotels that are conveniently close to the airport which are helpful for passengers with an early departure. The 4 star Park Plaza hotel is actually at the airport itself and the Hilton Templepatrick Hotel and the 4 star Country Club has golf course and is a 15 minute drive from the airport, this hotel. The Templeton Hotel is another 4 star hotel located in the village of Templepatrick a 15 minute drive away from the airport. The 3 star The Holiday Inn Express Antrim is only a seven minute drive away from Belfast airport.
Entertainment options
There are many facilities at Belfast Airport and passengers can while away some time while waiting to fly by shopping, eating and drinking or by using of the airports other facilities.? WH Smiths in the terminal sells books, newspapers and magazines and Dixons sells a whole host of electrical items. There is a Boots too at the airport for passengers who may wish to buy cosmetics, holiday health and beauty products, personal care, skin care, hair accessories and more. After security checks inside departures there is a duty free where passengers can buy l cigarettes, liquor, electronics, watches and many other items.
For passengers who may require last minute gifts there is a shop at the airport called The Irish Quarter selling bespoke gifts and souvenirs relating to Ireland,
There is also a great selection of caf?s, restaurants and bars at the airport for passengers who may be hungry or thirsty. These include a Burger King, Starbucks and Bar des Voyegeurs, which sell alcoholic beverages.
Other amenities here include ATMs, travel insurance booths, foreign exchange counters and tourist information offices providing hotel bookings and general information about the region.
There are VIP and business lounges at Bologna airport for passengers who may wish to have some peace and quiet or have work they would like to do before their flight.
